A MOMENT TO REMEMBER

The poppy. A symbol of remembrance and hope.

Red field poppies with delicate petals and dark centres in a quiet meadow

The red poppy honours the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community. It is also an expression of support for those who serve today and of hope for a peaceful future. Wearing one is a personal choice.

Its association with remembrance grew from the poppies that flowered on the battlefields of the First World War. The flower became a lasting way to remember lives lost and those affected by conflict.
